Outcomes Measured

  • Provide Influenza vaccinations for at-risk UA students, Risk Management, UAPD and CHS personnel as well as campus community members who wish to receive it.

Findings

The Campus Health Service provided 2,800 (1,100 through Life & Work Connections) influenza vaccinations during 2005/2006.

Changes Made on Basis of Findings

Offered free of charge to members of the CHS staff, U of A Risk Management and UAPD due to the increased likelihood of coming into contact with the influenza viruses combined with the need to have these essential service areas available to the U of A campus community. The institution of this free service has resulted in positive feedback from UAPD and Risk Management administration and continuation of the program.
Offered to members of the U of A community (including: students, faculty, staff and retirees) who may elect to receive vaccinations on a fee for service basis.
