The CHS Counseling and Psychological Services unit offers a program (Parents Matter) to parents of U of A students to assist them with mental health concerns involving their children.

Outcomes Measured

  • Provide “on demand” consultation to parents of UA students who require advice on how to handle difficult challenges involving their students/children (Parent’s Matter).

Findings

The Parents Matter Program resulted in 217 phone calls, 121 email contacts, as well as approximately 45 in person contacts with parents.
