Educational Psychology: Graduate Programs

Guidance Lesson Delivery-- M.Ed

Target Population: M. Ed. Students

Each student prepares and delivers a professional presentation to a hypothetical adult audience in one of the following categories: School board member, parents, teachers and staff at the school, school counselors at a district or professional meeting, administrators at a district or professional meeting.

There will be an audience of peers, faculty and invited community members at the presentation. The presentation should last at least 20 minutes and no more than 30 minutes including questions and answers. Students may choose any topic that would be appropriate to the intended audience, but the topic must be relevant to school counseling, and must be approved in advance by the student's advisor.

Outcomes Measured

  • Student is assessed on Organization of Presentation; Quality of Presentation Approach; Quality of Presentation Content, and Quality of Handouts and Visual Aids.,
