The BFA in Studio Art is a professional degree that requires 80 units of art and art history and a minimum of 50 units of coursework outside of the School of Art. Unlike the BA in Studio Art, it does not require a minor. The BFA also requires 2nd semester proficiency in a second language. Students choose an area of emphasis from the four studio divisions and complete 24 units of upper division coursework in that division.
