History - Shared Program

Overview:
UA South Logo Return to the UA South Assessment page

History majors at the University of Arizona South explore patterns and processes of change and continuity, around the world and across time, in an effort to demonstrate how diverse societies and cultures have confronted challenges common to the human experience. The program provides practical training in historical research and promotes skills in writing and critical analysis that are the foundation of contemporary liberal arts education. History majors enter all walks of life, many choosing careers that include law, teaching, journalism, the government and non-profit organizations (to name only a few).

Expected Learning Outcomes:

As a Shared Program, the Program uses the same Expected Learning Outcomes as the Main Campus Program. The faculty is consulting with the Main Campus Program to ensure that UAS's Learning Outcomes are aligned. The faculty at UA South and Main Campus have been reviewing and comparing syllabi to further ensure program alignment. The Main Campus program information can be found at http://assessment.arizona.edu/sbs/History%20Undergrad
