The division of Student Affairs is committed to providing the best possible living experience for UA students. This is accomplished through collaborative and multi-faceted approaches to residence halls, health and wellness services and program, and innovative student union offerings. Student Affairs prepares students for leadership and citizenship roles in our communities by extending the boundaries of learning beyond the classroom and creating an environment for personal growth and discovery.
Student Affairs seeks to create a caring, supportive, and respectful academic community that provides its members with countless and diverse opportunities to connect with each other. We do this collaboratively, intending that students will leave the University of Arizona with confidence in themselves, with the skills necessary to achieve their dreams, and anticipating their future with deep appreciation for the importance of community in their lives.
The division of student affairs surveyed students in the spring of 2009 to determine student priorities for use of the Student Services Fee, which is managed by the Student Services Fees Board. Executive summaries of this and the companion survey of UA parents are attached below.
The division has been engaged in a multi-year project exploring the attitudes and perceptions of UA students. This project, The Millennial Project, has produced a rich variety of information. To sample some of the information culled from the project, to understand the methodology and to learn about the future of the project go to http://mass.arizona.edu/millennial/ .
