Administered: each semester
Last Administered: January 2005
Target Population: undergraduates with an overall GPA below 2.0
A few weeks after the end of the semester, the Curriculum and Registration Office sends the College a report listing all students with an overall GPA below 2.0. This so-called probation list is used to determine which students will be put on probation, which students will be disqualified from the College or from the University, and which students will receive intensive intervention to improve their chances of retention.
Changes Made on Basis of Findings
Advisors in most majors put a registration hold flag on the student's record to force the student to meet with the advisor for a mandatory advising session.
