Presentation of literature review--Ph.D.

Administered: Prior to oral comprehension examination for Ph.D. program

Target Population: Ph.D students preparing for oral examination

This is a presentation of a literature review to faculty and peers. Faculty will evaluate the presentation using the scoring rubric developed for that purpose. This presentation is part of the new comprehensive examination procedure, and will start after the students have been informed of the changes in that procedure.

Outcomes Measured

  • The student can prepare an integrative review of the literature on a particular topic and make a presentation of the literature review to faculty and student colleagues.
  • The student can demonstrate skills necessary to make a presentation demonstrating competence in educational psychology.
  • The student can: (a) conduct a research project; or (b) review the literature in a specific substantive area.
